Holiday Cookie "Hack"!

We teamed up with the CAD classes once again for a fun Holiday challenge. Students were asked to show off their cookie decorating skills by using a simple cookie cutter. The challenge was not using it for its intended purpose and “hacking” the design.

On top of this creative endeavor, their designs were given to the CAD classes to construct and 3D print cookie cutters for our use in the Culinary Arts room.

We were blown away (as usual) by the ideas and the final outcome!!

(Above) A few of the drafts that were sent to the CAD room, so they could design and print their cookie cutters.

(Above and below) Students using the 3D printed cookie cutters.

(Below) 3D printed drafts, the printed cookie cutters, and the final results of the cookie challenge... The 3D Christmas tree won first place and second place was a President Trump inspired cookie.
